AJ Discala reports on Iran playing games

We all could read throughout the international press that Iran will stop providing oil to six countries of the EU, said Aj Discala. Iran wants to show that this is not effecting on the government’s determination to proceed with its disputed nuclear program. The United States, Europe and Israel have all called the program a cover for Iranian efforts to develop nuclear weapons capability, an accusation that Iran denies.

But Germany insisted it will still take some time before the second bailout is delivered. “

But the riots in the Greek streets on Sunday mean that clearly everyone has not embraced the strong medicine that Greece must take if they are to remain a player on the work economic stage. AJ Discala asks where the Moscow protests will lead? Already calling for the creation of their own party, the opposition movement is still searching for a leader. Their hope is to challenge Vladimir Putin in March’s presidential election. But the Russian strongman refuses dialogue with the protesters.

The protesters believe Russia needs a large, liberal party, and most importantly that new elections are inevitable and that the country’s police, justice system and economy are all in urgent need of reform, explains AJ Discala.

After protest in 2011 that changed the politics in several countries the protestor hope that Russia will be next. AJ Discala says that Moscow hasn’t seen such large-scale demonstrations since 1998. This time, the protesters are different, they are well-to-do members of society, people who until now counted among the current system’s supporters.

According to a survey conducted by the polling institute Levada, 8 percent of the demonstrators are business owners, 17 percent managers and 46 percent skilled workers, such as computer experts, doctors and engineers.

Moscow newspaper Novaya Gazeta writes that it’s difficult to see a potential opposition candidate in any of the speakers.

Putin has made concessions since the beginning of the mass demonstrations in downtown Moscow, the protests wouldn’t have been possible otherwise — but in all other respects, he has stayed his course, refusing to hold new elections for the State Duma, Russia’s parliament.
